Sonic Spank was formed in early 2009 by Benjamin Karp & Ian McGuire. In 2010 they added up and coming drummer Scotty Zwang. The trio seamlessly blends all styles of music pioneering a genre called Sextronica. What sets Sonic Spank apart from many acts in the scene is live guitar, keyboards & drums. Ben & Ian have been friends since Preschool and have collaborated on music since the beginning of High School which explains their undeniable chemistry on stage and innocent perversion. Sonic Spank penetrates the line between the craft of DJing and virtuoso instrumental musicianship.

After more than eight years of global touring, seven solo albums, countless collaborations, label-head tastemaking and vital artist-incubator in the USA's most critical beat-making cities (SF, Chicago, NYC), Eliot Lipp's status as an electronic music pioneer is known to scene connoisseurs and weekend warriors alike. Lipp's omnivorous tastes are apparent, from the obvious funk and myriad manifestations of hip-hop though less explicit reference points as jazz fusion, folk and techno. His well-earned reputation as a producer's producer stems in part from his craftsmanship. Never content with well-worn breaks and effects, his work incorporates a fetishistic love of analogue gear with sampledelic flourishes, intricate rhythmic patterns and more than a few leftfield surprises. But his melodic instincts and tunefulness are what have earned him such wide appeal, his songwriterly connection to music's storytelling possibilities, even without words.

Brooklyn based producer Derek VanScoten (aka D.V.S*) creates that elevated feeling in the listener’s chest with his guitar-soaked experimental dance beats. He currently has music released on Soulection, 1320 Records, Gravitas Recordings, Daly City, Electronic Musician Magazine, and his own label, Octave Memory Tapes. While his current beatsmithing pushes the boundaries of futuristic rhythms and timbres, D.V.S* hasn’t always experienced music via a laptop. Influences include 19th century romantic music, motown, swing, bossa nova, afrobeat, traditional folk music from multiple cultures, hip hop, and of course, rock n’ roll.www.deathwaltz.com
